East Coast vs West Coast

I have family that lives on both the east coast and the west coast. I often enjoy trying to decide which coast I would move to if I had a large sum of money to spend on a home of my choice. This morning I decided to look at real estate in Santa Barbara,CA and East Hampton, NY. Which house would you buy?
House #1- East Hampton, NY

Which house and coast would you choose? Close to New York City or Los Angeles?

No question in my mind. I’d choose #2, the Santa Barbara house. Closer to L.A. and I prefer that climate. But if I had the choice, I would seriously consider that gorgeous East Hampton “shack.”
House #2 in SB, hands down. Ocean view, organic interior, the arches, the everything. Living outside of the box, looking at the ocean. Done deal (assuming you have 8.75.) Notice the decomposed granite in the back.
