Outdoor Living
The weather has been pretty mild here in Texas and the redbuds and bradfords are blooming which means it is time to start thinking about outdoor spaces. How is the weather where you live? Are you ready for spring? Here are a few outdoor spaces by Summerour Architects…
I hope the week is treating you well!

East Coast vs. West Coast
Join me in a little game I like to call “Pretend”. I have a very special person in my life that I am lucky to call family that lives in NYC. She has just found out that she is moving to Los Angeles with her fabulous boyfriend this summer. I am so excited for the two of them! I know they are in for some big changes but, I also know they will adapt beautifully. With that said, I often wonder if someone were to give me two houses to choose from that were either on the California coast or the New York coast, which would I pick?
First up is a home in Santa Barbara…
Next we go over to Bridgehampton…

Outdoor Spaces
Since the weather has been unseasonably warm here in Texas, I have started thinking about spending time outdoors. Right now our grass is brown and the trees are bare but, when spring arrives our backyard will bloom with pink roses, orange and red trumpet vines, purple perennials, and bright green grass. I am looking forward to it. Until then, I am enjoying these spaces designed by San Francisco based designers Suzman & Cole Design Associates. Enjoy!
Have a great week!
What is your Opinion?
I was talking to a local custom builder the other day and he said that more and more clients are requesting large walk-in showers and no tub in the master bathroom. I really love the look of a beautiful stand alone tub in a bathroom but, I never use our tub. Do you think it is crazy to build or remodel a home these days and not have a tub in the master bathroom? Would you worry about the resale value being effected by the lack of this feature?
