Shopping
Yesterday my mom and I took a little trip down to Dallas and had a great time. We finally made it to the newest location of Wisteria. I am so in love with that store. I found this fantastic piece for our house there…
After hitting some other stores we treated ourselves to the new…
So good!
And them I came home and ordered these pillows for our living room from Etsy…
I have to say, it was so nice to be in the city shopping but, after hours of driving and traffic it was good to be home.
It was a good day.
Adjusting
I absolutely, positively love our new neighborhood. It is peaceful, beautiful, friendly, and inspiring but, am I ever going to adjust to driving thirty-five minutes to Target? An hour to World Market, Nordstrom, and a decent restaurant? I am definitely missing the convenience of city life. Where do I find a good hair stylist, dentist, doctor, chiropractor, masseuse? I am living in a community of about two thousand people with the closest city about twenty minutes away and its population is about 15,000. Wal-Mart is where you do all of your shopping. I am not a huge Wal-Mart fan so this is different for me (As I type this a beautiful flock of Canada Geese are landing on the golf course on the other side of the lake behind our house). Okay so maybe I need to give this country living a little more time. I love hearing the horses, donkeys, coyotes, cows, and roosters in the morning. They make me happy but sometimes I feel a little isolated. Maybe I just need to make sure I get down to the big city once and awhile. Do you live in a big city?
Or far out in the country?
Do you like where you live?

Sneak Peek
The house is not ready to show you yet but, I thought I’d share a few items I am loving here and there (notice how I avoided showing most of the countertops which are now covered with items I don’t have room for and must sell out our yard sale this weekend)…
The true star of our home is our view but, our yard is brown right now so I am not about to show you pictures until we green it up a little. Oh yeah, and look at the wildlife we have around here digging in our trash…
I hope you all are having a great week!
J.R. Watkins and a Handy 8 Year-Old
I just found J.R. Watkins natural cleaning products at Target the other day on sale. The All Purpose Cleaner, hand wash and dish soap have a lemon scent that not only works great but, smells great too. It is ammonia free, animal testing free, bleach free, phosphate free etc. I am enjoying this line so much I had to share with you. It is good stuff!
On another subject we are in the new house and have a ton of work to do to make it our own. All of our “stuff” from storage arrives in two days and I am not sure where it is all going to go. I had to share this photo of my daughter installing hardware in the kitchen. Don’t worry, we didn’t break any child labor laws.
